API terms
Short and plain. By using a Platform API key you agree to these.
- Show where the data comes from. Display “Data: Transport for NSW, via Platform” wherever you show it.
- Don’t resell the raw data. Build something with it; don’t repackage the feed and sell access to it.
- Don’t scrape to rebuild Platform. Don’t use the API to copy the Platform app or bulk-download everything it knows.
- Keep live keys secret. You’re responsible for requests made with your keys. Rotate a key if it leaks.
- We may revoke keys. If a key breaks these terms, puts the apps’ service at risk or goes far past its limits, we can revoke it, with or without notice.
- Best effort, no SLA. The API is free and may change, slow down or stop. Data can be late, wrong or missing. Don’t rely on it where safety depends on it.
- Transport for NSW’s terms apply too. The data comes from Transport for NSW Open Data, and its licence and terms of use apply to it.
